Emily will be studying in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for Spring of 2016. She is a double major in Comparative Literature and Creative Writing. Her favorite genre is creative non-fiction for both reading and writing, although she sometimes enjoys busting out in rhyme by writing slam poetry. She occasionally writes for The Lamron, SUNY Geneseo's newspaper, and also maintains a blog online. Although Spanish is her first language, she began reading and writing English at seven years old, and hopes to learn Portuguese in Rio. She loves the editing process and salivates at the thought of a good read.
